The priests of St. Charles arrived in Budapest at the end of 2004 thanks to an invitation from Cardinal Péter Erdo. He entrusted the parish of Christ the King in the city of Pest to the Fraternity. In addition to the parish, he entrusted to the priests both the chaplaincy of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University and, a few years later, the parish of the Sacred Heart, in a suburb of the city. The priests also work in the Catholic high school St. Margaret and with the Missionaries of Charity of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta to take care of the elderly and the sick. They also accompany the communities of Communion and Liberation in Hungary.
